Chapter 3 Service Description

3.1 Service Overview. The Software is a cross-platform Minecraft game launcher designed to provide users with a convenient game management experience. The current version is v0.1.x, which is in the testing stage.

3.2 Core Features. The main features of the Software include but are not limited to:

  • Game Instance Management: Create, configure, and manage multiple independent Minecraft game instances with version isolation.
  • Download Center: Download Minecraft game versions, loaders (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, Quilt, etc.), and Java runtimes from multiple sources.
  • Resource Center: Browse, search, and download mods, resource packs, and modpacks from platforms such as Modrinth and CurseForge.

  • Multiplayer Module: LAN and mesh networking features based on EasyTier technology.
  • Settings and Updates: Application settings management and automatic update checking and installation.

3.3 Service Status. The Software is currently in beta and may contain errors or defects. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to improve the service quality but make no guarantees regarding continuous availability, error-free operation, or suitability.

3.4 Supported Platforms. The Software supports the following operating systems: Windows (x64 / ARM64), macOS (x64 / ARM64), Linux (x64 / ARM64 / LoongArch64 / RISC-V 64). The user experience may vary across different platforms.

Chapter 4 User Accounts

4.1 Account Types. The Software supports the following account types:

  • Microsoft Account: Authenticated via the Microsoft OAuth 2.0 protocol. This process is handled entirely by Microsoft's platform; the Software only receives the authorized access token.
  • Yggdrasil (Third-Party Login): Allows users to connect to custom AuthlibInjector-compatible authentication servers.
  • Unified Pass: A third-party Yggdrasil authentication service (e.g. login.mc-user.com), with registration and authentication provided by community server operators.
  • Offline Mode: No online authentication required; only a username is needed.

4.2 Account Information Security. Your account credentials (including access tokens) are stored in an encrypted file on your local machine. We will not upload your credentials to any unnecessary third-party server. The encryption is tied to your machine's hardware identifier; changing your device may render stored credentials inaccessible.

4.3 User Responsibility. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. We shall not be held liable for any loss or legal liability resulting from your disclosure of credentials or account sharing.

Important: The Software does not collect or store your Microsoft account password in any form. The Microsoft OAuth process is carried out entirely on Microsoft's platform.

  • Use the Software for any commercial purpose without prior written permission from us.

5.3 Open Source Compliance. The Software is released under the GPLv3 license. When exercising the rights granted by the GPLv3, you must comply with all terms and conditions of that license. If any provision of this Agreement conflicts with the GPLv3, the GPLv3 shall prevail.

The intellectual property rights of user content you create, store, or manage through the Software (including but not limited to game saves, screenshots, and mod configurations) belong to you or the respective rights holders. Chapter 8 Privacy Notice

Core Principle: The Software does not contain any telemetry, analytics, or automatic data collection features. We respect your privacy.

8.1 Locally Stored Data. The Software stores the following data on your local machine:

  • Application Settings: Stored in {data directory}/QML/settings.json, including interface preferences, download settings, and Java paths.
  • Account Credentials: Stored in {data directory}/data/accounts.dat, encrypted and bound to your machine's hardware identifier.
  • Browser Local Storage (localStorage): Including update channel preference, update deferral information, managed instance directory list, and view mode preference.
  • Java Runtime Information: Cache of scanned system Java installations.
  • Download Tasks: Cache of incomplete download task information.

All of the above data is stored entirely on your local device and is not automatically sent to any remote server.

8.2 Crash Log Upload. When you choose to use the crash analysis feature, the crash log content is sent to the mclo.gs third-party service to generate a shareable link. This is a user-initiated action, not an automatic upload. The Software will display the content to be uploaded before sending it.

8.3 Network Requests. During normal use, the Software makes network requests to the following types of servers:

  • Minecraft Resource Servers: To download game files, libraries, and assets.
  • Third-Party API Services (Modrinth, CurseForge, FTB, etc.): To search and retrieve resource information.
  • Microsoft Authentication Service: To handle the account login flow.
  • GitHub API: To check for application updates.
  • Mirror Servers (BMCLAPI, MCIM, etc.): To accelerate downloads.
  • Custom Authentication Servers: To connect to Yggdrasil authentication servers based on your configuration.

All requests above are triggered by your active actions and do not involve invisible data reporting.

8.4 Data Retention and Deletion. You can clear all local data by resetting application settings or manually deleting the data directory. After you cease using the Software, locally stored data will remain on your device until you actively delete it.

8.5 Third-Party Privacy Policies. The third-party services integrated into the Software have their own independent privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the following privacy policies:

Chapter 9 Disclaimer of Warranties

Disclaimer: The Software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • That defects in the Software will be corrected.

9.2 No Affiliation with Mojang/Microsoft. The Software is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, or their affiliates. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

9.3 Mods and Third-Party Resources. Any mods, resource packs, modpacks, or other third-party resources that you download, install, or use through the Software are not provided or warranted by us. We assume no responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of these resources.

9.4 Beta Version. The Software is currently in beta and may contain undiscovered defects or compatibility issues. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using the beta version.

Chapter 10 Limitation of Liability

10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our contributors, licensors, or affiliates shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or software malfunction.

10.2 These limitations shall apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

10.3 Regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), our total cumulative liability shall not exceed any fees (if any) paid by you for using the Software in the six months preceding the claim.
